This is a two toned Linoprint where the ink is āpaintedā the plate of linoleum before using the printing press. As the colors blend the print will appear gradient, ātrue to lifeā yet abstract. This is an original and as every printing plate is hand painted, all of these prints are unique and may vary a bit from the photo. The colors are green going into tones of Ā red/orange.
Monika Petersenās artworks are created with a focus on sustainability. She creates all the Lino Prints by hand, and without using dangerous chemicals. The Lino blocks are cleaned in vegetable oil instead of toxic cleaners after printing. The oil makes the Lino more durable, and thereby ensures the optimal utilization of the materials.
